Fort Scratchley Historical Society Presents King’s Birthday Long Weekend OPEN DAY on Monday 8 June 2026.  The gates will open at 10am and close at 4pm.  The 7 Guns comprising of the 2 x Armstrong MKVII 6 inch guns, the 80pdr gun, QF Nordenfeldt Gun, the 25pdr gun and the 40mm Bofor will fire at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, with the Time Gun firing at 1pm as usual.

All exhibition rooms will be open and Tunnel Tours will be conducted all day, (modified tours of 30 mins) with children under 14 years of age free.  Australian Armed Forces Re-Enactment Unit Newcastle will be carrying out displays, together with the Newcastle Pipe Band, a display of military vehicles, Coffee Cart and Hot Food available.
